Hi! I'm Sally Weatherly
I'm passionate about debunking the myth that "physics is hard".
I've helped thousands of students worldwide to ace their physics exams and I'd love to help you too.
As much as I’d really like to tutor everyone, and I still am a private tutor and teacher in schools – it is not physically possible. So I am now online, having spent a great deal of time perfecting the ultimate online courses for Physics.
Sally graduated in Astrophysics from the University of Edinburgh in 2001, before attaining a PGCE at King’s College London. Sally was Head of Physics at Fettes Academy in Edinburgh where she established a vibrant and energetic department with consistently excellent results.
Sally is an advocate of and a dedicated speaker on behalf of the Physics teaching community. She is a guest lecture at Kings College, London and has lectured in subjects as diverse as ‘practicals in particle physics’, ‘encouraging girls into STEM’ and ‘time-saving tips for science teachers’. Sally was a Senior Practical Adviser to the AQA.
In 2014, Sally was appointed as a trustee of Dynamic Earth, an Edinburgh based geographical science education centre of excellence, due to her keen interest in promoting science and her reputation of inspiring young people to study physics and engineering in further education.
In 2017, Sally was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Physics in acknowledgment of excelling in Physics education as Founder of Guzled, a company aimed at providing teaching resources to Physics teachers, principally serving those who teach post-16 physics qualifications.
Her dedication, energy and enthusiasm are a credit to her subject and inspiring to her students.
What People Are Saying about Sally
My method of breaking down the trickiest of concepts in to a “step-by-step’ guide means that you will never be shocked by the level of difficulty in Physics again. Even the most insecure of students can bypass overwhelm and self-doubt, and instead generate confidence as they move closer to acing those Physics exams!
I know that I’m good at this and I teach what I know. Simple.
