I'm passionate about debunking the myth that "physics is hard"

I've helped thousands of students worldwide to ace their physics exams and I'd love to help you too. I've spent a great deal of time perfecting the ultimate online courses for Physics for you.

Teacher

I graduated in Astrophysics from the University of Edinburgh in 2001, before attaining a PGCE at King’s College London in 2004. I started teaching GCSE and IB Physics and was promoted within one year to the position of Head of Physics at Fettes College, an internationally recognised IB World School.

I was (and still am!) super proud of the work we achieved there to make physics more accessible and enjoyable for the hundreds of students that came through our doors. Our departmental results went from strength-to- strength and I was thriving in my career, but something was missing....

I really appreciate your work Sally, it's the best thing ever (it's just perfect). It's well prepared. I'm in loss of words but that's an awesome thing to do for students especially for those who's in need for that kind of help. Thank you a lot for that🌷!!

Every day I would receive emails from physics students who had found me online and were asking for my help.

You see... teaching and tutoring is what I’m good at.

My method of breaking down the trickiest of concepts in to a “step-by-step’ guide means that you will never be shocked by the level of difficulty in Physics again.

So I decided to start a website devoted to physics students and my motto this time was: share the strategies that help physics students to achieve top marks in physics exams.

"I just don't know how to say thank you to you Sally. You make physics simple and fun. Thanks to you, Matylda has made great improvements in her understanding of physics. Thank you again for inspiring!"

I thought the 2020 'lockdown' would be a good time to write a book.

I'd wanted to combine all my top tips on how to be strategic in your IB Physics revision for sometime and it felt like a great way for those who couldn't afford to join me in my courses to learn some of my thought processes around how I plan revision for students inside my courses.

These study strategies are tried-and-tested and have been taught to thousands of IB Physics students worldwide.

I'm super proud to have the book achieve #1 Hot New Release in Secondary Education and the reviews are insane...!

In 2014, I was appointed as a Trustee of Dynamic Earth, an Edinburgh based geographical science education centre of excellence, due to my keen interest in promoting science and my reputation of inspiring young people to study physics and engineering in further education. In 2017, I was  elected  a  Fellow  of  the  Institute  of  Physics  in  acknowledgment  of  excelling  in Physics education.

There's loads more geeky stuff (like teaching myself coding to build this website) but I'm proud of my geek status!  πŸ€“
